Story
Jake (A134609) is a 5-year-old Siberian Husky who weighed just under 40 pounds on intake! 06/03/24 Jake is back at the shelter after a brief adoption! His adoptive owner had nice things to say about him but did not find him to be the right fit for her. Jake was described as a wonderful dog who was attentive, responsive, playful, and affectionate! He loves going on walks and getting belly rubs! It was noted that he is a high-energy breed and is looking for an owner who can keep him both mentally and physically stimulated. He was stated to walk nicely on a leash and has the potential to be a good skijor buddy! His prior owner did note that he has some anxiety so providing him with appropriate outlets is important. He may enjoy having another canine companion in his next home or active owners who can keep him entertained and happy. They also noted that he appears to have a high prey drive, which is common with his breed, so ensure he is properly restrained when outdoors and he would do best in a home without small critters. Jake is a very sweet boy, and we hope he finds his perfect fit! If you are interested in meeting Jake, please let us know! 05/15/24 This handsome pup is Jake! Jake was surrendered to the shelter because his prior owner felt they were not home enough to give him the attention and love he deserved. Jake was described as a calm husky. He was said to enjoy lounging on the couch! His prior owner stated that he does great with adults and tolerates kiddos but may prefer a kid-free home. He was also said to do well with other dogs but had limited patience for the high-energy puppy in the home. He has no history with cats, pocket pets, or livestock. Please ensure you are doing appropriate introductions with all new animals. Jake was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and to know the basic command of sit. If you are interested in meeting Jake, please let us know! June 8, 2024, 8:13 pm

Story
King (A134784) is an 8-month-old AK Husky who weighed 41 pounds on intake! 05/30/24 This regal guy is King! King was surrendered to the shelter with his buddy Mack because their owner could no longer care for them. Unfortunately, we do not have any prior behavioral information on them. From the looks of it, we believe these boys have spent most of their time outdoors. The inside can be a little scary for them especially walking through doors. They are looking for a patient owner who has the time to continue working with them. They are both very people-friendly and have been happy to interact with their caretakers! It is likely that they are not housebroken and do not seem to know any basic commands. These boys may enjoy learning the art of bikejoring in the summer and possibly skijoring in the wintertime! If you are interested in meeting King please let us know! June 8, 2024, 8:13 pm

Peaches (A134782) is an 8-month-old Siberian Husky who weighed 39.5 pounds on intake!05/29/24 Sweet Peaches is in search of her new home! Peaches was surrendered to the shelter after killing multiple poultry in her last home. An animal Control Officer reviewed her case and she has been cleared for adoption. Peaches has a high prey drive, which is common with her breed, and would do best in a home without any small critters—cats, pocket pets, small livestock, etc. She was said to do well with other dogs! Please ensure you are doing appropriate introductions with new friends! Peaches spent most of her time outside in her last home. She was said not to be housebroken and does not know any commands at this time. She is still a young dog and we highly encourage her next owner to contact a certified trainer and enroll her in an obedience class. Peaches was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate dog who does well with people of all ages, including babies and children. She is a young dog just looking for some guidance! If you are interested in meeting Peaches, please let us know! June 8, 2024, 8:13 pm
