Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Guide: The Way Home - How To Beat The Game
How to reach the final boss
When you're inside Zero Lab, events kick off. Speak to the professor — Sada in Scarlet and Turo in Violet — to find out what they're doing here, and why they've never left Area Zero. Keep talking to them until you're prompted to go down the elevator with them
This is your last chance to leave the area — as soon as you're ready, head down the elevator with them.
Once you reach the bottom, walk up to the professor to find out what you need to do — insert the Scarlet or Violet book into the pedestal in the centre of the room. This will trigger the final trainer fight of the game.
How to beat the professor
As you're fighting the professor, the person — and the team — will be entirely different depending on what Pokémon game you're playing. Paradox Pokémon are some of the strongest in the game, so you'll need to play your heart out.
Ground is a common weakness among three of AI Turo's Pokémon — if you have Earthquake on Clodsire, then you're cosy. Fairy is also a fantastic type here — Tinkaton and Gardevoir will cover this. Meowscarada is the best starter for this for its primary Grass-type, while Quaquaval's Fighting secondary type works well. Other backup Fairy types are good, but a Glimmora with Fairy, Rock, and Ground-type moves really helped us here. Just be careful of AI Turo's Iron Valiant, who is incredibly strong.
AI Professor Sada, Pokémon Scarlet
Professor Turo uses a team of all Ancient Paradox Pokémon. You've fought some of these before, but some are new, and all of these are level 66 or 67.
Fairy-type Pokémon are a great way to get started on this fight, and half of AI Turo's team is weak to Fairy, so Tinkaton and Gardevoir can hold their own here. Bug-type can help clean up Brute Bonnet along with Flying-type, so we're partial to Volcarona with some Flying or Lokix with some Fighting-type moves. Koliwattrel is also a nice pick, as is Espathra for powerful pure Psychic damage.

AI Professor Turo, Pokémon Violet
Professor Turo uses a team of all Future Paradox Pokémon. You've fought some of these before, but some are new, and all of these are level 66 or 67.

After you beat AI Turo, you'll have one last obstacle.
How to get Koraidon or Miraidon
Depending on your version, Sada or Turo will call out one last Pokémon — Sada will call out Koraidon in Scarlet, and Turo will call out Miraidon in Violet. There's a twist, though — you can't use your Pokémon!
Once you enter the battle, you'll notice your Pokéball is sealed. You can keep trying to throw out Pokémon while your friends encourage you, but there's only one option — bring out your very own Koraidon or Miraidon.
Go to the bottom of the Pokémon menu, select your mount Pokémon at the very bottom, and send them out to do battle. They'll transform from their regular transport form to their combat form.
All you need to do is attack your opponent until you can Terastallize your Pokémon. You might need to heal your ally — so don't be afraid to use a Potion to bring them up to full health! As soon as you can Terastallize, do it, and use Tera Blast to win.
And that's it — once the credits roll, and your team leave Area Zero, you've beaten the game, saved the world, and Koraidon (Scarlet) / Miraidon (Violet) have been added to the Pokédex and can be used in battle!
Congratulations on beating the game! There's still lots to uncover in Paldea, though. Have you completed the Pokédex? Have you tackled the post game? No? Well, let us help you! For the battle against AI Sada, you'll want to ensure your team includes Pokémon with strong Bug, Fairy and Flying-type moves, because these attacks really be incredibly effective against three of her Pokémon. We also recommend including Poison and Dark-type Pokémons in your team.
Start out the battle with a Flying-type against her Slither Wing, then switch to a Poison-type, followed by a Bug or Fairy. Easily destroy Flutter Mane with a Ghost Pokémon, then switch to a Ground-type against Sandy Shocks.
Additionally, Turo's team is 2X weak to Electric-, Fighting-, and Rock-type moves. The best way to defeat the Professor is to use these six type-disadvantages against his team by landing super-effective hits whenever possible.
If you have Violet, you'll go against the ground- and steel-type Iron Treads. For Great Tusk, you can use water-, grass-, fairy-, flying-, or psychic-type moves against it. A flying-type Pokémon will work especially great, as it won't be affected by ground-type moves.
Following the defeat of Director Clavell, players will be able to battle the real Cassiopeia in the schoolyard. To do this, the computer at the main desk inside the Academy must be accessed, and trainers can then fast travel to the location.
How to Defeat AI Sada's Team. AI Sada's team has a glaring 3X weakness to the Fairy-type Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet, as well as an equal weakness to Ice-type monsters. Furthermore, her team of Paradox Pokémon is 2X weak to Fire-, Bug-, Ghost-, and Steel-type moves.
We recommend having your chosen Ground-type as your leading Pokémon, since AI Turo will begin the fight with Iron Moth, which is especially weak to this type. This will allow you to quickly knock out his first Pokémon!
AI Turo's team and their weaknesses are as follows: Iron Moth (Level 66, Fire/Poison) - Weak to Psychic, Rock, Water, and Ground-types. Iron Bundle (Level 66, Ice/Water) - Weak to Fighting, Electric, Grass, and Rock-types.
You can use Power Gem, Endure, or whatever else you want, but it doesn't really matter—you cannot lose the fight. After you've defeated Miraidon, the Guardian of Paradise, and stopped the Paradise Protection Protocol, you'll have another touching moment with the last bit of humanity that AI Turo has left.
How to beat Hassel of the Elite Four. Hassel, the Academy's art teacher, is a Dragon master, so you'll want to bring the best Pokémon with you. His ace is a Baxcalibur that Terastallizes into a Dragon-type. Dragon is weak to Dragon, so Baxcalibur, Garchomp, and Hydreigon are options.
Lucario is weak to both Ground and Fighting-type attacks. As for Eri's Starmobile, Fairy and Flying-type attacks were our strongest options. However, it's best to have plenty of Revives and Super Potions as the Caph Starmobile can do a lot of damage.
Nemona's Rockruff is now a Lycanroc, but it still has the same weaknesses. This means it can be easily defeated by any Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel and Water-type Pokémon. Once again, we recommend using your starter Pokémon if you choose Quaxly or Sprigatito and, if not, a Pokémon which exploits these weaknesses.
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet False Dragon Titan is located in Casseroya Lake's Northeast Island, and appears if you interact with the orange Tatsugiri.
For the first part of the encounter, you should aim to use Electric or Grass-type moves. Like the other Titan Pokemon, when Dondozo's health has been lowered, it will run away. Open your map and find the new marker for the titan. It should be near the central area of the Lake, near shallow water.
Clavell is a tough opponent, using Level 60 Pokémon of various types, so you'll have to get pretty far in the game and do a lot of levelling-up if you want to beat him. We recommend bringing lots of Potions and status-healing items with you for taking on Clavell, as his party will inflict various status effects.
Fourth Nemona battle strategy in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Nemona's Rockruff is now a Lycanroc, but it still has the same weaknesses. This means it can be easily defeated by any Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel and Water-type Pokémon.
Thematically, it's a very cool battle, but if you are worried about getting through it: don't worry, you actually can't lose, as your Koraidon will always stay alive with 1 HP left. Just Terastallize when you get the cue to and use Tera Blast to finish the job.
Larry uses normal-type Pokémon, which only have one weakness: fighting-type moves. His pocket pick, Staraptor, is particularly grating because the flying-type moves it knows will counter your fighting-type Pokémon. There are no other counters for normal-types, so just avoid using grass- or fighting-types against it.
